Scoot Engage is a meeting, webinar, and events platform with two modes: Presentation mode and Mingle mode. Mingle mode is what makes Scoot Engage so different and powerful. It enables sales acceleration not possible on any legacy platform.

  • 10x faster conversion of MQLs to SQLs
  • 10x greater conversational insights data
  • 10x more information delivered to prospects and customers

After content is delivered, hosts invite attendees into Mingle mode. And that’s when the Scoot magic really happens.

What does this have to do with our new Special Access Group feature? A lot, because Mingle mode replicates the dynamics of bringing prospects and customers together and allowing them to move around, like they would in person.

The more people you have in the Scootaverse, the more mingling there is and more business getting done. A popular presenter or analyst, a celebrity, a big customer, or a senior executive speaker drives higher attendance. People like coming to see the VIPs and the stars.

Not only do attendees want to watch these resources present content. They also want to meet them and mingle with them in Mingle mode.

In Mingle mode, a VIP or celebrity can attract a lot of visitors. In order to sequence access to these resources and ensure they don’t get overwhelmed with visitors, we built Special Access Groups.

Group members can now create Special Access Groups, which allow users exclusive entry into specific groups within a room. This is perfect for VIP networking zones, and it is also really useful for breakout discussions, private conversations, or host-only collaboration spaces.

Once a Special Access Group has been created by anyone currently in a group, new users approaching the group will be prompted to ask to join the conversation. Then, anyone in the group is able to admit or dismiss them from the request queue. Group members can be admitted up to the hard group cap size. Group members who are part of the Special Access Group can also turn off special access control, thereby allowing people to join organically once again.

Users will be able to tell if a Special Access Group has been turned on by a diamond icon located within the group size indicator area.

This feature can be toggled on or off within the Scootaverse settings by the primary host. This means that the ability to have Special Access Groups in a given Scootaverse is a decision made by the producer.
